a16z speedrun — SR008 (2027)

a16z speedrun supports early-stage founders with investment, customer introductions, hiring support and an in-person residency in San Francisco. SR008 starts February 1, 2027. The official application page and FAQ currently give different April end dates; confirm the final schedule with the program.

Standard investment: up to $1 million, comprising $500,000 for 10% upfront on a SAFE and up to an additional $500,000 in a qualifying next round of $2 million or more within 18 months. Additional partner credits have separate terms.

SR008 application deadline: November 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (November 2 at 07:59 UTC / 10:59 Turkey time). Later applications are considered for a subsequent residency. Full-time, in-person participation is expected; solo founders and international applicants can apply.
