Problem
Monitoring and understanding air quality is expensive and complex. In average a single legacy air quality monitoring station costs 250k USD without including annual maintenance cost. Due to this high cost cities cannot be able to enhance the resolution of air quality data. Measurements are insufficient and thus pollution trends and episodes cannot be captured. There is also lack of talent that can be able to generate meaning by evaluating the data and recommend policies after proper monitoring.
