The innovative solution we are proposing responds to one of the biggest societal challenge the world is currently facing: the obesity pandemic. In 2013, European countries made up two-thirds of the world’s countries with obesity. EU countries, meanwhile, made up as much as 83% of all European countries coping with the problem and 55% of the world's countries. Europe, and the EU specifically, are regions of abundance, which frequently leads to health problems for its population and losses for its economy. This situation makes it imperative that public health and preventive measures are taken, such as individual treatment strategies and population-wide measures aimed at reducing obesity.

We offer a sustainable system to users who are struggling in healthy habit building. Latify is a deep-tech innovation with Social Engagement that is backed by Gamification, Persuasive Design and Behaviour Change Support Systems. With the help of a speech-based Virtual Assistant (VA), users will be able to swiftly record and easily keep track of their eating and exercise patterns, and weight. Users will be able to work with experts (dietitian, sport coach, yoga instructor etc) or form a group out of their friends for targeting a goal (21-days of sugar-free, 10K steps a day etc). When a certain goal is reached, they will be able to earn a perk (a smart watch, a discount from a sport center etc) which will be offered by our collaborators.
