When a component, geometry, material or operating condition changes, engineers must manually determine what downstream calculations, simulations and validations are affected. In complex industrial systems this often results in excessive re-simulation, duplicated engineering effort, slow design iterations and poor traceability of technical decisions. Existing CAD, CAE, PLM and digital-twin tools largely manage individual parts of this workflow but do not understand the causal relationships between geometry, materials, physics and engineering evidence. This makes engineering change expensive, slow and difficult to validate, particularly in industries such as machinery, automotive, aerospace, rail, construction, energy and process industries.
