IoT devices’ end users have to prepare energy and communication infrastructure on poles for lighting, CCTV, WAP or other IoT devices, and they pay very high prices for this. The excavation and cabling cost of one pole is apprx. 10K USD and the energy consumed by the IoT devices on it has an annual operating cost of approximately 1 K USD. Installation can take months and they need to obtain permission and license for excavation from the authorities. Additionally, energy cannot be taken to every desired point. There is a lack of mobility in pole installations. Grid-dependent energy and communication systems collapse in earthquakes and natural disasters. Access to energy becomes limited during a disaster. During the time it takes to restore the system, the disaster cannot be intervened. There are problems in ensuring people's life safety and in rescue operations. There is a need for off-grid, self-sufficient energy and wireless communication infrastructures.

Our solution is a smart pole that stores the energy obtained from the sun and wind and can operate easily integrated IoT devices off-grid, can be easily installed on existing and new poles and can operate 24 7 without the need for any grid energy. With our solution, users of IoT systems do not need to dig and cabling for energy, and CAPEX and OPEX costs are reduced. Specific generator for the wind turbine is designed and manufactured by Rumitech that energy is produced from the generator without the need for the middle shaft of the wind turbine to rotate. This design is a game changer in this market. Weight can be carried on the wind turbine. Solar panels and batteries are positioned on the top and comply with IP65 standards. All energy is stored in batteries located in the upper body. The stored energy can be transmitted to the lower parts of the pole with cables passing through the hollow central shaft, an average of 5kWatt energy can be produced daily from the sun and wind.
