The global energy sector is undergoing a critical transformation toward sustainability. However, a major challenge persists: decarbonizing industrial and residential heating. Heat accounts for approximately 50% of global final energy consumption, with half used in industrial processes and the other half for space and water heating in buildings. Industrial heat demand remains heavily reliant on fossil fuels, leading to high CO₂ emissions and increasing environmental impact. Therefore, as industries transition toward climate-neutral production, there is an urgent need for innovative and sustainable thermal energy storage (TES) solutions to reduce fossil fuel dependency and minimize carbon footprints.
Calor-e addresses this issue by developing a high-efficiency thermal energy storage system that enables industries and buildings to store and utilize heat flexibly, reducing their dependence on fossil fuels. Our system enables industries to store renewable heat and release it on demand, significantly reducing reliance on fossil fuels. By enabling the efficient storage and utilization of thermal energy, Calor-e not only reduces CO₂ emissions but also lowers energy costs for industries by optimizing heat management. Its thermal energy storage (TES) system charges when electricity prices are low, storing heat for later use, which helps industries reduce peak energy costs, improve efficiency, and decrease reliance on fossil fuels. This approach makes sustainable industrial heating both environmentally and economically advantageous.
