Problem
The World Health OrganiWHO has identified Air Pollution as the cause of 7.0M deaths per year with 91 % of the world’s population living where air quality exceeds WHO guidelines of 10 ug/m3 (mass concentration). The cause is Particulate Matter (PM) from industrial emissions, motor vehicles, domestic combustion, smoking/ vaping etc. Particulate Matter of size PM2.5 and smaller is the primary cause. Until now there has been no real-time, accurate, affordable method for measuring and classifying PM.
Solution
Piera has developed a family of 'Intelligent Particle Sensors (IPS)’, which use a breakthrough approach for detecting and measuring the count and size of particles in air utilizing its proprietary technology. Unlike existing low-cos sensors IPS has superior accuracy, can detect smaller particles (PM0.1-PM10+) and count them with real-time performance. IPS is programmable to detect a wide range of particle sizes through software allowing for a single sensor to be used in a range of applications.
