Our product – ReBiota transforms wastewater-treatment biomass into a marketable soil-enhancement solution, recovering value from material otherwise treated as waste. Depending on location and market needs, it can be supplied directly in wet form for nearby land application or further dewatered, stabilized and packaged for wider distribution. This flexible model reduces waste-handling costs, improves resource efficiency and creates new commercial value — From Waste to Growth.

Problem

Biological wastewater treatment continuously generates a biomass stream that requires handling, transportation and final utilization or disposal, creating an ongoing operational cost for the facility. At the same time, this biomass contains organic matter, microbial material and potentially recoverable nutrients that are currently not converted into a productive secondary use. The result is a dual inefficiency: the facility incurs costs to manage a recurring residual stream while potentially valuable material leaves the process without generating economic value.

Solution

ReBiota creates a phased pathway for converting wastewater-treatment biomass from a cost-bearing residual stream into a useful soil-enhancement product. In the first stage, biomass that meets laboratory safety and quality requirements can be transported in wet form to nearby companies and organizations with large green areas for immediate controlled application. This provides a low-CAPEX route to market validation. In the second stage, investment in filter pressing and downstream processing reduces the water content, improves transport efficiency and enables stabilization, blending and packaging. The processed biomass can then be commercialized across wider geographic areas and developed into bulk, packaged and potentially nutrient-enriched ReBiota product variants.
