Today, various industries such as landfills, oil & gas and agriculture face rising regulatory, commercial, and reputational pressures to reduce methane intensity, with mandates like the EU's 2030 Methane Rule and satellite “leak-shaming” platforms making emissions visibility urgent. While many “detection” tools exist - e.g. drones, satellites, OGI cameras - these were built for simple periodic inspection and are not advanced enough to help complex site operators understand and mitigate their emissions - never mind measure those reductions. In short, methane emissions are not "model-able" like carbon; they are unpredictable and volatile. They must be monitored in order to be measured; but today's tools are either insufficient or prohibitively expensive.
TrelliSense offers industry the first low-cost, long-range, and continuous monitoring platform capable of not just detecting but quantifying methane emissions at site-level resolution. Our system combines two proprietary technologies: (1) TrelliBeam, a fixed-path laser-based sensor that continuously measures methane concentration across up to 4000 meters using eye-safe lasers and custom low-cost retroreflectors, and (2) TrelliSun, a sun-tracking spectrometer that acts as a “methane radar,” sweeping across facilities to map spatial emissions and plume behavior. Together, these sensors provide around-the-clock, modular, and portable methane intelligence for leak detection at upstream, midstream, and utility O&G assets along with MRV for methane abatement projects including landfills, coal mines, wastewater treatment, and agriculture.
